Have you ever noticed how each new generation of young people seems to come up with unique ways to communicate? The word “chill” is often used today to describe relaxing with friends. It is also used as sort of a command when someone needs to calm down. In our office, we like to chill. We chill unwanted fat, using the state-of-the-art CoolSculpting cryolipolysis system.
HAVE YOU HEARD OF COOLSCULPTING?
CoolSculpting has been around for several years now. It began as an innovative option for nonsurgical body contouring. Because CoolSculpting was initially used primarily for problems like a muffin top or squishy tummy, many people have gotten stuck in this idea. However, with advances, the CoolSculpting system has expanded to get rid of unwanted fat in multiple areas. These include the thighs, back, bra area, backs of the arms, and the double chin. If you’re ready for an update that includes getting rid of your double chin, now is a great time to consider CoolSculpting.
COOLSCULPTING FOR THE DOUBLE CHIN
As popular as CoolSculpting treatment is, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Before jumping right into the treatment, itself, we sit down and talk with our patients. What do they want to achieve? What are their expectations of this process? Then, we evaluate whether or not their needs and expectations align with the potential that CoolSculpting has. In most cases, it does. That’s when we can move forward to the fat-freezing process!
Double chin treatment using CoolSculpting is convenient. The procedure lasts only about half an hour. After it’s done, patients can go about their day as usual. They may have slight redness or sensations of numbness or tingling, but these don’t get in the way of normal activities. Treatment is comfortable, too, for the most part. After applying a gel pad to the skin, we attach the small applicator. This part of the device pulls double chin fat so it is surrounded by two cooling panels. As tissue cools, sensations like tinging and a mild ache may occur. These fade to numbness within a few minutes. For the duration of the procedure, patients sit back and relax, or, should we say, chill.
